Each project is unique and my process can vary depending on the needs and desires of the client. No matter the scope, each project begins with a problem to investigate. Often this means speaking with clients to see what their needs are. Other times it's researching what's on the market currently and what is a gap that can be filled. Once the design problem has been identified I begin to ideate - filling sketchbooks with rough ideas, both good and bad. At this stage I often like to write out my ideas, as well as sketching small thumbnails. Once I have found a solution to pursue I begin my favorite stage in the design process: creating a prototype. Generally I start with a low-fidelity paper prototype used to figure out the flow of the project and standard layout. Once I have tested the structure I produce a high-fidelity digital prototype for user testing. Once a prototype has passed the testing phase it's time for production. This means I am finalizing all graphics and either passing it on to developers or I am coding and producing it myself. Attention to detail is critical. Everything must be pixel perfect. Lastly it's time to evaluate the finished product. This included bug-testing as well as completing any documentation the project might require.

    Assisted the ICESat-2 Public Outreach Team in creating interactive Educational Outreach materials. Main duties include re-styling/designing the ICESat-2 website (currently in testing) and creating website documentation and recommend CSS for the developers. Designed a new logo for the ATLAS instrument team to be used on various products such as apparel, mugs and stickers.

    Worked with a multidisciplinary team to research and prototype a next-generation aircraft customization tool for Gulfstream Aerospace. Facilitated communication between teams (User Experience, Computer Graphics, Technology, and Production teams) using project management software LeanKit and Shotgun. Planned, organized and prepared all major client presentations. Helped define the applications experience, interactions, and user interface via high-fidelity prototyping. Assisted with the creation of promotional videos and other marketing materials.
